PlaceholderAPI

Placeholders of other plugins in texts and actions, and the SzpontAFKZone placeholders.

PlaceholderAPI is optional. On Paper 26.2 and newer, PlaceholderAPI 2.12.3 or newer is required.

Turning it on

The integration works by itself when PlaceholderAPI is installed. Turn it off in config.yml:

Placeholders of other plugins (%...%) work in all texts and actions, but not in messages to the console.
SzpontAFKZone adds its own %szpontafkzone_...% placeholders, e.g. the time until a reward, the progress or the number of players in a zone. The full list is on Placeholders.

In [console] lines:

control characters are removed from PlaceholderAPI values;
a line is skipped when a value has a word that starts with @ or is * or **.

Do not use placeholders that players can change, such as nicknames, in console commands. See Actions.
