Progress and anti-abuse
How the plugin counts and saves players' time, and how it limits collecting rewards in unwanted ways.
How time is counted
Section titled “How time is counted”- A player counts in a zone while the block at their feet is inside its area.
- Timers count real time, so server lag does not slow rewards down.
- Teleports, respawns, vehicles and world changes are tracked, so rewards cannot be collected outside a zone.
- When zones overlap, a player counts only in the zone with the highest
priority.
Saving progress (progress in config.yml)
Section titled “Saving progress (progress in config.yml)”| Key | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
on-leave |
PAUSE |
PAUSE stops the timers of the zone when the player leaves it, and they continue on the next visit. RESET makes them start from zero on the next visit. |
on-quit |
SAVE |
SAVE saves the timers with the player’s data, and they continue after the next join, also after a restart. RESET makes them start from zero after the next join. |
RESETinon-leaveapplies when the player walks or teleports out of the zone. Logging out inside a zone followson-quit.- With
SAVE, the timers are written to the player’s data on logout, every minute while they change and when leaving a zone. No database is needed.
Anti-abuse (anti-abuse in config.yml)
Section titled “Anti-abuse (anti-abuse in config.yml)”A player who does not meet these rules still counts as being in the zone (except vanished players, described below). Their timers stop and their displays are hidden until they meet the rules again.
Game modes
Section titled “Game modes”allowed-gamemodes lists the game modes in which players earn rewards. Default: SURVIVAL and ADVENTURE. Possible
values: SURVIVAL, CREATIVE, ADVENTURE, SPECTATOR.
Vanished players
Section titled “Vanished players”reward-vanished-players: false (the default) treats vanished players as outside every zone:
- they earn nothing;
- they do not trigger enter or leave actions;
- they are not counted in
{players}or%szpontafkzone_zone_players_<zone>%.
EssentialsX, SuperVanish, PremiumVanish, CMI and other vanish plugins are detected.
IP limit
Section titled “IP limit”Limits how many players from one IP address earn rewards in the same zone at the same time, against alt accounts.
| Key | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
ip-limit.enabled |
false |
true turns the limit on. |
ip-limit.max-players |
1 |
How many players from one address can earn at once. At least 1. |
- The other players get the
anti-abuse.ip-limit-reachedmessage from the language file and start earning when one of them leaves. - Players with the
szpontafkzone.bypass.ip-limitpermission and players without a matching tier in the zone are not counted. - IPv6 addresses are grouped by /64 network, so an IPv4 and an IPv6 connection of one household count separately.
