The plugin does not load: UnsupportedClassVersionError ... class file version 65.0

Section titled “The plugin does not load: UnsupportedClassVersionError ... class file version 65.0”

The server runs on Java 17. Start it with Java 21 or newer. Minecraft 26.x needs Java 25.

The plugin does not load and the log mentions minimum-api

Section titled “The plugin does not load and the log mentions minimum-api”

Your host raised settings.minimum-api in bukkit.yml. Set it back to none.

Tier permissions default to false, so operators do not get them automatically. Grant them like any other permission, for example:

/lp group vip permission set szpontafkzone.tier.vip true

Check /szpontafkzone info <zone>. The zone must be enabled, its world loaded, and the player needs a matching tier (a tier with permission: '' matches everyone). Also check that:

  • the zone reaches above the floor: the size Y in /szpontafkzone info must be at least 2, because players are counted by the block at their feet;
  • /szpontafkzone list does not show file error for the zone. If it does, the zone file has an error, described in the console;
  • the player’s game mode is listed in anti-abuse.allowed-gamemodes (SURVIVAL and ADVENTURE by default);
  • the player is not vanished (with anti-abuse.reward-vanished-players: false);
  • the IP limit (anti-abuse.ip-limit) is not holding the player back;
  • reward commands use {uuid} instead of {player} for players whose name has characters other than letters, digits, _ and . (e.g. a Floodgate prefix other than .). Their [console] lines with {player} or %...% are skipped with a console warning.

While setting up zones, debug: true in config.yml helps: the console then shows players entering and leaving zones, why a player is not earning, and every reward roll.

When another plugin already uses the name afkzone, SzpontAFKZone skips that alias and logs a console warning. Use /szpontafkzone, or set another alias in commands.aliases and restart the server.

Set it to '' in the language file. A deleted message is added back with its default text on the next reload or restart.

Add a new section under rewards in the zone file, e.g. hourly:, with its own interval-seconds, displays and tiers. Reward tracks run independently of each other. See Reward tracks and tiers.
