Actions

Commands, messages, titles and sounds run for rewards, failed rolls, zone enter and zone leave.

Actions are lists of lines run from top to bottom. They are used in enter-actions, leave-actions and in tiers (actions and fail-actions). Every line starts with a tag.

Action What it does Example
[console] <command> Command run by the console [console] eco give {player} 100
[player] <command> Command run by the player [player] spawn
[message] <text> Chat message to the player [message] {prefix}&aReward received!
[broadcast] <text> Chat message to all online players [broadcast] &e{player} &7got a bonus reward!
[actionbar] <text> Action bar text for the player [actionbar] &a+100 coins
[title] <title>;<subtitle>[;<fade-in>;<stay>;<fade-out>] Title for the player. Times in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second), 10;40;10 when left out. [title] &6Bonus!;&7+1 key;10;40;10
[sound] <id>[;<volume>[;<pitch>[;<source>]]] Sound for the player [sound] minecraft:entity.player.levelup;1.0;1.2
  • A line without a tag runs as [console].
  • To write a ; inside a [title] text, use \;.
  • In [sound], volume 1.0, pitch 1.0 and source MASTER are used when left out. Sources: MASTER, MUSIC, RECORD, WEATHER, BLOCK, HOSTILE, NEUTRAL, PLAYER, AMBIENT, VOICE. Sound ids are listed on minecraft.wiki/w/Sounds.json. Old names such as ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP work too.
  • [actionbar] and [title] texts stay visible for a few seconds, also when a reward track shows its own action bar or title.
Placeholder Value Where
{player} Name of the player everywhere
{uuid} UUID of the player only in actions
{zone}, {zone_name} Id and name of the zone everywhere
{prefix} prefix from the language file everywhere
{track}, {time_left}, {seconds_left}, {interval}, {interval_seconds}, {progress}, {chance}, {tier}, {tier_name} Reward track and tier data only in reward tracks

The full list is on Placeholders. PlaceholderAPI placeholders (%...%) work too when it is installed.

  • For players whose name has characters other than letters, digits, _ and . (e.g. a Floodgate prefix other than .), [console] lines with {player} or %...% are skipped with a console warning. Use {uuid} where the command accepts it.
  • In [console] lines, control characters are removed from PlaceholderAPI values.
  • A line is skipped when a PlaceholderAPI value has a word that starts with @ or is * or **.
